On October 21 the undergraduate students of the Department of Management and Business Administration were given a lecture within the "Bolashak" Lessons Republican campaign in the format of replacing a lecturer. The lecturer was the executive director of the Association of International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Bolashak", Tulegenova Zhanna Viktorovna. The theme of the lecture: Foresight. Zhanna Viktorovna is one of the leading experts working on this topic in Kazakhstan.
The lecture revealed the concept of “foresight”, its essence and its theoretical foundations. A special attention was paid to the fact that foresight in Kazakhstan conditions, first of all, is necessary in order to motivate changes and create alternative directions for future development, control the selection of technologies and improve contingency preparedness. Students learned the foresights’ applied relevance and its influence on public life.
The lecture was carried out in a form of a dialogue with the students; at the end of the lecture they got explanations to their questions. Zhanna Viktorovna took an interest in the research work of the fourth year student of the Governmental and Local Management specialty Zigova Alyona on “Foresight as a planning tool or construction system of the future". Alyona is taking part in the "Zhas sarapshy-2013" Republican competition among young economists.
