Within the month of methodological innovation of the Information Technology Faculty, the software department held its annual intellectual game «What? Where? When?»
The idea of the game arose with the introduction of multilingual education to the specialty 5B070400 - Computers and Software in 2012.
The goal of the game is a development of students' intellectual abilities and motivation to learn languages.
By tradition, the game is organized by the 2nd year students of the specialty 5B070400 - Computers and Software, as well as advisors and supervisors of groups. The students made interesting questions on different topics. The questions were in different languages: Kazakh, Russian and English.
The game consisted of three rounds. In each round, the questions were divided into categories, where the cost of the question was determined by its complexity. In the game participated 3 teams of 1st year students of the specialty 5B070400 - Computers and Software. During the game, the teams answered the selected questions, the winner was determined by the number of points scored. In the end, the results were summed up, letters and gifts were presented. Islamidin Karajanov became the best player of the game.
Experts of the game were Olga Salykova - head of software department, Irina Ivanova - associate professor of software department, Gulshat Makhambetova - Senior Lecturer of the Software Department, also the guest of the event was Saule Aytkuzhinova - Head of LIET.
