"SERPIN" program in action!

Since 2014, Baitursynuly University (BU) has been a key institution for training specialists under the state program "Serpin - 2050" ("Mangilik El Zhastary - Industriyaga").

Over the years, the university has trained more than 1,000 highly qualified specialists. This year, BU plans to welcome 200 students from the southern and western regions of Kazakhstan.

To achieve this goal, the university representatives are actively conducting career guidance work. They have already visited the Turkestan, Kyzylorda, and Zhambyl regions, meeting with thousands of high school students. For example:

In the Turkestan region, they held meetings in 30 schools across five districts.

In the Kyzylorda region, 976 students attended the university presentations.

These efforts are made possible through close cooperation between the university and regional departments of education.

In Atyrau, BU representatives also participated in a Higher Education Forum, alongside the representatives from all Kazakhstan universities. The event featured a presentation of BU’s academic programs. Additionally, the active career guidance is conducted in social media in southern Kazakhstan. The university representatives also appear on the  regional television programs to discuss the advantages of "Serpin - 2050". Baitursynuly University is using all possible channels to make this recruitment effort as effective as possible.

The main goal of the program is to educate and employ rural youth from the southern regions (Almaty, Turkestan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, and Mangystau regions) in the  northern and central regions facing a shortage of specialists.

It is worth noting that last year changes were made to the training program for Serpin students - now they have the right to choose a place of training in one of the 11 regions of Kazakhstan (previously, training was supposed to be in the region of study), the duration of which was also reduced from 3 years to 2. By the way, 20 percent of graduates of our university who studied under this program remain working in Kostanay region.

Currently, 154 students are studying at KRU under the Serpin program in pedagogical, agricultural, technical, and IT fields.
