Keeping Up with the Speed of AI

A workshop on the application of artificial intelligence in education and science was held at KRU.

As part of the implementation of the AI-Sana project and in the context of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals No. 4 “Quality Education” and No. 17 “Partnerships for the Goals,” the university hosted a workshop titled “The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Research and Teaching Activities.”

The workshop was led by Turar Yelibayev, Acting Head of the Office of Competencies and Career Development. Earlier, he had participated in the Winter Scientific School at Narxoz University, focused on the use of artificial intelligence in scientific research.

More than 30 university staff members and faculty took part in the KRU workshop. Participants explored practical use cases of modern AI tools, including Gemini, OpenAI, Kimi AI, Napkin AI, and other digital solutions applied in educational and research activities.

Special emphasis was placed on hands-on practice: participants applied the acquired knowledge to real-world examples and analyzed opportunities for integrating AI tools into the educational process, scientific research, and everyday professional activities.

It was also noted that artificial intelligence tools are developing at a rapid pace, making it extremely challenging to track all technological innovations individually. For this reason, the university community is forming and developing a professional AI community, aiming to stay at the forefront of modern digital solutions and actively integrate them into educational and research practices.
