Face ID: Digital Infrastructure of the University

A modern access control system based on Face ID technology has been implemented at Ahmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University (KRU) as part of the university’s digital infrastructure.

The implementation of the Face ID system is another step toward the development of a digital campus, the adoption of advanced IT solutions, and the creation of a technologically oriented educational environment.

At present, the Department of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of KRU has begun developing approaches to automate attendance tracking in line with teaching workload and class schedules, including the use of data generated by the access control system.

This work is aimed at the phased improvement of the university’s digital services.

The implementation of this solution aligns with the objectives of the AI-Sana innovation program, which focuses on integrating artificial intelligence and intelligent digital technologies into the activities of higher education institutions.
