Today, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Information Technology at Baitursynuly University held a ceremonial event celebrating two esteemed faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering: Professor Ayap Kurmanov, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, and Associate Professor Bazarbay Zhanalinov, marking his 85th birthday.

Dr. Ayap Konlyamzhaevich Kurmanov, Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, is a member of the Dissertation Council at S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (Astana). His significant contribution to the advancement of engineering education has been recognized with the "For the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" badge of honor.

Associate Professor Bazarbay Nurgalievich Zhanalinov, formerly a master builder at the “Kazasbeststroy” trust under the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has dedicated his life to training young engineers and mentoring future generations of mechanical engineers.

The celebration was opened by Baitursynuly University Rector Seitbek Kuanishbayev, who expressed deep gratitude to the honorees for their decades of service:

"May your health remain strong, your life long, and your energy ever enduring!"

Colleagues, students, and department staff warmly congratulated their mentors, with the university’s trade union committee also joining in the celebration.

A particularly heartfelt moment came during a speech by one of Professor Zhanalinov’s students:

"You’ve always been on the same wavelength with us. Your guidance and kindness help us not only in our studies but in life as well."

At the close of the event, the honorees thanked everyone for their kind words and attention:
