OUR STUDENT IS A WORLD CHAMPION — TWICE!

The World Jiu-Jitsu Championship among adults has concluded in Bangkok, Thailand, where the Kazakhstan national team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 11 gold, 16 silver, and 13 bronze medals!

Among the champions is a KRU student!

Maqsat Tölendi, a 4th-year student at the Department of Theory and Practice of Physical Education and Sports of the KRU Pedagogical Institute, achieved an impressive victory in the No-Gi 85 kg category, becoming a two-time World Champion!

Maqsat demonstrated exceptional endurance, skill, and determination — earning his place among the world’s best athletes.

It is worth noting that jiu-jitsu in Kazakhstan is one of the priority sports supported by the state. Our athletes consistently shine at the Asian Games, World Games, and other major international tournaments.

Congratulations to our student! We are proud of you, Maqsat!
