AN EDUCATOR WHO RAISED GENERATIONS OF MATHEMATICIANS

The Pedagogical Institute named after U. Sultangazin of Kostanay Regional University solemnly honored Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Assistant Professor of the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Digital Technologies, Berik Demisenov, on the occasion of his well-deserved retirement.

Colleagues, friends, and family members gathered to congratulate the educator. Throughout the day, many warm words were spoken about a person who devoted his life to science, education, and the training of future mathematics teachers.

Berik Nurtazinovich began his professional career after graduating from Omsk State University in 1985. After completing his military service, he dedicated his life to teaching in 1987 and, for nearly four decades, trained mathematics educators.

In 1995, the scholar successfully defended his Candidate of Sciences dissertation. Over the years, he became the author of numerous scientific publications, served as an opponent for PhD dissertation research, became one of the founders of the Kazakhstan Association of Mathematics Teachers, and was elected a full member of the International Informatization Academy.

For many years, Berik Nurtazinovich was a member of the expert council on the licensing of educational and methodological materials at the regional scientific and practical center “Kostanay Daryny.” In 2011 and 2015, he reviewed the school textbook Algebra and the Fundamentals of Analysis for 11th-grade students in the natural sciences and mathematics stream, authored by A.N. Shynybekov and published by Atamura Publishing House.

A special place in his professional activity has always been dedicated to working with gifted school students. Under his guidance, young mathematicians became winners and prize-holders of national and international Olympiads.

At the same time, colleagues and relatives note that his talents extend far beyond science alone. Berik Nurtazinovich is passionate about chess, writes poetry, and plays the guitar, inspiring those around him with his versatility and creative energy.

The educator was also congratulated on this important occasion by renowned Kazakhstani mathematician Ualbai Umirbayev, Professor of Mathematics at Wayne State University, whose fundamental discoveries in the field of algebra have gained worldwide recognition.

The Rector of Kostanay Regional University, Seitbek Kuanyshbayev, presented Berik Nurtazinovich with a letter of appreciation and the traditional shapan — a symbol of special respect and gratitude for his many years of dedicated service. The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by musical performances from university students.
