For the third consecutive year, the department and the museum have joined efforts to organize this meaningful cultural event.
The celebration took place in an atmosphere that harmoniously blended tradition and modernity. As part of the program, participants explored the rich cultural heritage, rituals, and customs of the Kazakh people. Students presented theatrical performances showcasing traditional ceremonies such as kuda tusu and betashar, along with a variety of creative acts.
Particular excitement was generated by competitions in traditional national sports, including arkan tartys (tug of war), asyk atu, and kol kures (arm wrestling), which energized and brought together both students and faculty members.
Honored guests included members of the national public association “Dästürge zhol – Qazaq analary” — Zlikha apa, Aksulu apa, and Tynym apa. Zlikha apa shared the secrets of preparing traditional Nauryz kozhe, while Aksulu apa and Tynym apa performed folk songs accompanied by the dombra, creating a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.
A special highlight of the celebration was the appearance of Kydyr Ata. In this symbolic role, Associate Professor Kalkaman Zhakyp congratulated the audience and delivered a traditional bata (blessing).
The event became a platform for meaningful knowledge sharing, and strengthening intergenerational ties. Participants emphasized the importance of preserving national traditions and passing them on to younger generations, noting that Nauryz continues to symbolize renewal, kindness, and unity.
