Significant Gold

Students of Baitursynuly University demonstrated outstanding performance and confirmed their leadership at the Asian Kettlebell Sport Championship.

The championship is taking place this week in Aktau, bringing together around 250 athletes from 15 countries.

Representing the National Team of Kazakhstan were students of Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University enrolled in the Physical Education and Sports educational program — Vladislav Litvinov, Anton Stelmakh, and brothers Nikita and Vadim Strigin.

Competing in their respective weight categories, the university’s athletes achieved impressive results:

• Nikita Strigin (up to 63 kg) won first place in the Jerk event, completing 93 repetitions with two 32 kg kettlebells.
• Vadim Strigin (up to 68 kg) also claimed victory in the Jerk event, performing 97 repetitions with two 32 kg kettlebells.
• Vladislav Litvinov (+95 kg) became champion in the Jerk event with an outstanding result of 105 repetitions using two 32 kg kettlebells.
