Significance for Future Generations

A roundtable discussion entitled “The New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Its Significance for Future Generations” was held at the Pedagogical Institute of KRU.

Faculty members gathered in the conference hall to discuss the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Yerkyn Kurmanalinov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal and Civil Law and Procedure at the Faculty of Economics and Law of KRU, presented an analysis of the constitutional reform and its implications for the education system.

During the roundtable, participants examined the proposed amendments to the draft Constitution. It was noted that the initiative to update the Constitution has received broad public support, and that the document was developed with the involvement of experts, legal scholars, and academics.

“As educators, we must not view legal documents from a narrow perspective, as they directly regulate our professional activities,” the speaker emphasized. “The draft of the new Constitution places particular focus on supporting science and education. This entails development, sustainable funding, and the creation of conditions for the implementation of modern technologies, as well as strengthening the status of the teaching profession.”

The faculty members discussed the importance of the proposed changes for future generations and highlighted the role of the academic community in fostering civic awareness and responsibility among young people.

The meeting concluded with a reminder to participants of the importance of taking part in the referendum on the draft Constitution scheduled for March 15.
