“Growth Point. Meeting with employers” - a roundtable under this title occured today at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and Kostanay Regional University.
As a part of the Month of Methodological Innovations, specialists from two regions – Kostanay and North Kazakhstan – gathered at our university.
The purpose of the meeting was to identify challenges faced by veterinary graduates seeking employment in state and private organizations, and to develop proposals for improving hiring mechanisms for the adoption of young specialists in the labor market.
The event brought together teachers and students from Baitursynuly University, along with a broad representation of veterinary professionals: Almat Khamitbekov, the head of the Republican Anti-Epizootic Unit; Ulbolsyn Khusainova, representative of the Kostanay regional branch of the Republican Veterinary Laboratory Committee; Amanbolat Dzhetekenov, head of the Administrative and Legal Department of the Veterinary Department of the Akimat of North Kazakhstan; Rashid Zhunusov, Deputy Head of the Kostanay Regional Territorial Inspectorate Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision; Azamat Abidzhanov, representative of the Veterinary Department of the Akimat of Kostanay Region; Smagul Aubakirov from the Veterinary Station of the Aiyrtau District; Asiya Albekova, director of the Veterinary Station of the Temiryazevsky District; Serik Ikashev, director of the Veterinary Station of the Aiyrtau District; Arman Ilyukin , director of the Veterinary Station of the Yesil District; Serik Kokashev, director of the Veterinary Station of the Shal Akyn District.
The meeting focused on the key competencies and skills necessary for successful start of the career. It is also important to strengthen the connection between the universities, students and potential employers in order to develop a unified strategy for training qualified professionals.
Participants listened closely to the speakers. For many students, the event became more than just a discussion – it was a real chance to make valuable connections.
