The chief editor of the socio-political educational newspaper “Zhana Omir”, Amangeldy Akhmetzhanov, met with students from the Kazakh Department of the Journalism and Communication Management faculty at KRU.
Zhana Omir is a young publication, established in March 2025, distributed across the Kostanay region.
The main purpose of the meeting was to introduce future journalists to the profession, support their first professional steps, and create a platform for practical experience.
During the discussion, Amangeldy Akhmetzhanov spoke about the newspaper’s role in the social life of the region and the topical issues the authors plan to address in the near future.
He also expressed his intention to sign a memorandum of cooperation between Baitursynuly University and Torgai Media-A LLP, the publishing company behind the newspaper.
The students were actively engaged, asking questions and receiving valuable first-hand information.
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that materials from KRU students will be published in the pages of Zhana Omir.
