Meeting with the “Sharks” of Regional PR

First- to third-year students of the “Journalism” academic program met with professionals who, not long ago, were sitting in the same classrooms and who today shape the information agenda of the region’s leading organizations.

Successful alumni whose names are well known within the media community joined the meeting:

The event was held in an open-microphone format, featuring a dynamic discussion, real professional case studies, and candid answers to the most challenging questions.

Students were eager to learn everything — from the “behind-the-scenes” realities of the profession to potential career trajectories.

Three key topics were at the center of the discussion:

The meeting went beyond theory. Alumni shared up-to-date information about job openings within their organizations, emphasizing that the market is actively seeking ambitious and highly qualified specialists.

As noted by Senior Lecturer Gulshat Markabayeva, such meetings with industry practitioners are not one-time events but part of a systematic approach to preparing specialists who are ready to meet market realities from their very first day after graduation.

The university extends its sincere gratitude to the guests for their openness, valuable insights, and for inspiring the next generation of journalists.
