WINTER SCHOOL 2026: New Skills

While students are on winter break, the faculty at KRU have returned to the classrooms. The Winter School is a project designed to help educators acquire new skills. With minimal lectures and maximum hands-on practice, the focus is on practical learning.

Participants: Professors, department heads, academic leaders, young educators, and curators.

From January 5 to 16, they will engage in seminars, workshops, and master classes covering topics such as modern pedagogical technologies, curriculum development, academic management, AI in education, academic writing, inclusive and quality education, as well as the international conference Innovations – 2026.

The event aims to enhance the quality of education, improve the management of the learning process, and introduce modern teaching practices.

KRU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Elmira Nauryzbaeva, emphasizes:

"Winter School serves as an effective platform for experience exchange, the development of professional dialogue, and the strengthening of the university's academic potential. In previous years, it was focused on enhancing subject-specific and professional qualifications for faculty members. This year, the program of Winter School has been expanded in content and supplemented with elements of corporate training."

Additionally, as part of the Winter School, a series of seminars and training sessions will be held with the participation of qualified specialists and experts invited from Almaty. The project actively involves university faculty and experienced practitioners.
