Professor of Baitursynuly University represented Kazakhstan at an international conference.
The scientific and practical conference "Heroes of War - Heroes of Sports" was dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event was held in Kazan and brought together more than 100 participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of the Pedagogical Institute of KRU Aibek Shalgimbekov spoke online at the plenary session of the conference with a report on the topic "The Great Patriotic War in Historical Memory: Personal, Collective and State Dimensions".
In addition to the report and the theoretical part, Aibek Batyrkhanovich supported his speech with real examples of the university's activities, spoke about close cooperation with schools.
The organizers noted the conference, within the framework of which a meeting with veterans, border guards, teachers and schoolchildren was held at KRU last week.
The demonstration of our conference was accompanied by applause.
