Today, the Smart Center of Baitursynuly University hosted the final Demo Day of the QOSTANAI AI-Sana AGROTECH HACKATHON.
The event was organized by Baitursynuly University (KRU) and Qostanai Hub.
This national hackathon brought together students from across Kazakhstan to solve real-world challenges in the agricultural sector using ideas and technology. Over 60 applications were received from 20 universities, and 16 teams made it to the final. The hackathon attracted talented students ready to develop real technological solutions within a matter of days.
The hackathon served as a unique platform where creativity, teamwork, and innovation met the practical needs of the agri-sector. Over the course of the event, participants not only brainstormed ideas but also created prototypes with the potential to transform the industry.
The day began with a startup exhibition from the Kostanay region. Guests had the opportunity to explore some of the most promising local projects on the first floor of the Smart Center, where fresh ideas and cutting-edge technologies were showcased—impressing attendees with their level of development and professionalism.
Following the exhibition, teams presented their projects during a pitch session and participated in a dynamic quiz competition with valuable prizes provided by the organizers.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at KRU, Elmira Nauryzbayeva, emphasized:
"The main goal of the hackathon is to unlock student potential, accelerate the digital transformation of the agricultural sector, and find practical solutions to current issues. These ideas will be implemented in the production sector of our region. The event also opens unique opportunities for both professional and personal development."
In total, 16 finalist teams from across Kazakhstan presented their projects. And we are proud that among the strongest were students from KRU!

All finalists received certificates of participation in recognition of their contribution to the development of innovation in the agri-sector.
