The conference was organized by Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University and brought together scholars and researchers from various countries in an online format.
The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Amangeldy Katenov, a distinguished professor, historian, and one of the most prominent figures associated with the Kostanay region.
During his tenure as Dean of the Faculty of History and Pedagogy at the Kostanay higher education institution, Amangeldy Kamalovich Katenov led the faculty to become one of the four best faculties in the entire Soviet Union.
He also laid the foundation for strong traditions in pedagogical training and teaching practice that continue to be upheld today.
The conference focused on a key contemporary question: How can traditional humanities disciplines—such as history, pedagogy, and philosophy—be effectively transferred into the digital environment without compromising human values and educational quality?
“We were pleased to support our colleagues and share the achievements of the Kostanay academic community in the field of digitalization of humanities education,” noted Aibek Batyrkhanovich Shalgimbekov.
The conference served as an important platform for discussing the future of humanities education and research in the context of rapid technological change, while emphasizing the importance of preserving the human-centered nature of education.
