The event is organized in partnership with the A. Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, the Kostanay Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, and the Kostanay Regional Memorial Museum of Ibrai Altynsarin.
The conference has already established itself as a traditional academic platform, previously hosted in the country’s largest cities, including Astana and Almaty.
This year, Kostanay Regional University has the honor of hosting the event for the first time.
At the opening ceremony, a welcoming address was delivered by Asemgul Kassenova, Deputy Director General for Science at the A. Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology.
She highlighted the particular relevance of the conference in the context of Kazakhstan’s updated Constitution, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical and cultural heritage.
According to her, such academic gatherings serve as a true starting point for students’ scientific careers and foster a lasting interest in the study of history.
The guests were also welcomed by Zhenis Zharlygasov, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation, and Digitalization at Kostanay Regional University.
He spoke about the university, its history, and its large-scale development plans.
The geography of the “Akhinzhanov Readings” continues to expand each year.
This year, participants include students and young researchers from various countries, including the United States, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
Museum and heritage site professionals from across Kazakhstan have also joined the academic dialogue.
