The international news agency Kazinform published a feature titled “HISTORY IN FACES: Women of Kostanay Region During the War.”
It is an interview with Elmira Nauryzbayeva, a Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Baitursynuly University.
Under her guidance, along with students and graduate students, the final stage of work on a unique monograph has been completed, collecting stories of women from Kostanay who contributed during wartime.
This is a very valuable work. Women’s participation in the Great Patriotic War is one of the under-studied topics in Kazakh history.
