Student Complaint Review Procedure

The complaint review procedure is implemented according to the following schemes:

Организации

1. Advisor-Curators → Institute/Faculty → Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs → Chair of the Management Board-Rector

Advisor-curators forward students’ complaints and proposals in the following order: Head of the Department, Deputy Dean/Deputy Director, Dean of the Faculty/Director of the Institute, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

If the issue is not resolved at the level of the Head of the Department or the Deputy Dean/Deputy Director, it is submitted orally or in writing to the Dean of the Faculty/Director of the Institute.

In most cases, conflict situations are resolved at the level of the Head of the Department, Deputy Dean/Deputy Director, or Dean of the Faculty/Director of the Institute.

If the problem cannot be resolved at this level, the complaint is forwarded, in the established order, to the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and, if necessary, to a higher level of university management.

2. Students → Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs

In this case, written applications from students are registered by the Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs and are reviewed at the level of the Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs.

3. Students → Chairman of the Board-Rector

This procedure is implemented through the University’s official email, the Rector’s blog, or personal reception hours.

A number of complaints, such as appeals related to current assessment, ongoing (rating) assessment, and interim attestation, are regulated by the Office of Academic Policy and Educational Activities.

A student’s complaint to the University administration may also be submitted through the Student Self-Government body.

Student leaders are elected at each institute/faculty.

The functional responsibilities of the University’s Student Self-Government include receiving and reviewing students’ appeals, taking appropriate measures, including submitting requests and recommendations to restore violated rights and freedoms of students, resolving conflict situations, and monitoring compliance with students’ social rights and interests.
