During the discussion, participants addressed current issues related to the development of an inclusive society, the implementation of modern educational approaches, and the formation of public awareness regarding inclusion.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the field of inclusion, international practices, and the regional experience of Kostanay Region.
Tatiana Zueva, Head of the Center for Inclusive Education and Psychological Support at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, PhD, delivered a presentation titled “UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Field of Inclusion: Implementation Through the Experience of Kostanay Region.”
In her speech, the speaker emphasized that inclusion is a key principle of sustainable development and an essential condition for building a society of equal opportunities.
The participants also discussed the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the education of persons with visual impairments.
Aina Rakhmatulina, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Psychology at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, presented innovative digital solutions and assistive technologies aimed at increasing accessibility to education and promoting the independence of students with special educational needs.
Akzhan Altybayeva, Chairperson of the Kostanay Regional Council of Mothers and Senior Lecturer at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, emphasized the importance of consolidating the efforts of educational institutions, public organizations, government agencies, and the parent community in fostering an inclusive culture and a barrier-free society.
Members of the Kostanay Regional Council of Mothers, Viktoria Khakimova and Gulnar Turkibai, addressed issues related to working with parents of children requiring an inclusive approach, as well as the legal aspects of divorce proceedings involving children with special educational needs.
The event became an effective platform for exchanging experience, discussing current challenges, and developing practical recommendations for the further advancement of inclusive education and social inclusion in the country and the region.
