These meetings will undoubtedly remain in the students’ memories for a long time. Together with students from Gorky Gymnasium in Kostanay, KRU students spoke with war veteran Kassymkhan Aldabergenov. Students majoring in Foreign Languages prepared a video report from the school museum dedicated to twice Hero of the Soviet Union Leonid Beda and also met with Tamara Boychuk in the village of Karabalyk. Tamara Yakovlevna was a child during the war years, and her recollections of childhood experiences during the occupation left no one indifferent.
The students and schoolchildren also prepared a project on the military tactics of Hero of the Soviet Union Bauyrzhan Momyshuly.
“Students and schoolchildren showed genuine interest in these meetings and in preparing their projects,” noted KRU Professor Aibek Shalgimbekov, the initiator of this interactive approach to studying history. “Once again, I am convinced that such formats deliver excellent results. Happy holiday to everyone! Preserve the memory of the heroic deeds of our fellow countrymen and be proud of them.”
