Future Engineers Gather at KRU

The XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad for the educational program B065 “Transport Engineering and Technology” was held at Baitursynuly University.

Top-performing students from ten universities across Kazakhstan came together not only to demonstrate their knowledge, but also to prove their readiness for future careers in transport engineering.

The Olympiad was conducted in two stages.

During the first round, participants completed a test assessing their fundamental knowledge.

In the second stage, students tackled written assignments that included both theoretical questions and practical case studies requiring analytical thinking and a professional approach.

Based on the results of both stages, the winners and prize-winners were determined:

We congratulate the winners and wish them continued success and further achievements.

While the contestants competed for top results, their academic supervisors also took part in dedicated activities.

A training session titled “Lean Manufacturing: Seven Types of Waste” was organized for them.

Practical insights were shared by the university’s partner, Natalia Belousova, Head of HR Service at TEHNOPARK KZ LLP.

The Olympiad was further distinguished by the participation of industry representatives.

The judging panel included practicing specialists from SaryarkaAvtoProm and the KIA plant, ensuring objective evaluation and a strong connection with the real sector of production.

A rich excursion program was prepared for the guests. Participants visited the engineering building of KRU and explored modern classrooms and laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Information Technologies.

Particular interest was sparked by a recently unveiled racing car, fully designed and assembled by university students—a symbol of the engineering potential and creative thinking of young people.

In addition, students visited the university’s partner plants, where they were able to observe production processes and modern technologies in action.
