TutorKSU: A Convenient Mobile Assistant for KRU Students

At Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University, the development of the TutorKSU mobile application is ongoing.

TutorKSU is a unified digital educational environment for students and faculty members. The project has been developed by the Department of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of the university.

The application integrates courses, assignments, learning materials, deadlines, calendar, class schedule, and other tools necessary to support the educational process within a single interface. Its main goal is to make everyday academic work more convenient, clear, and accessible in a mobile format.

One of the key features of TutorKSU is its integration with the university’s digital services, including Moodle, Platonus, and the class scheduling system. This enables students and faculty to access essential academic information through a “single entry point” without switching between multiple systems.

For students, the application provides a complete overview of the learning process, including current assignments, deadlines, study materials, personal progress, and self-organization tools. TutorKSU also includes AI-powered modules that help explain complex topics in simple terms, support preparation for classes and exams, and facilitate convenient revision of materials.

For faculty members, TutorKSU offers mobile tools to support the educational process, including assignment management, reviewing student submissions, and AI-based tools for assessment and evaluation. Special attention is given to interactive learning scenarios: the application supports activities that enhance student engagement, allow real-time assessment of understanding, and make classes more dynamic and modern.

One of the key areas of development is the “Examiner” module, which is particularly востребован during the pre-exam period. It helps students systematize their preparation, review key topics, and practice in a convenient format, while also providing instructors with additional digital tools to support both formative and summative assessment.

Thus, TutorKSU is not just a standalone service, but a developing digital ecosystem of the university aimed at improving access to education, fostering digital culture, and supporting effective interaction between students and faculty.
