One of the significant achievements of the educational program 6B01401 “Physical Education and Sport” at A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University during the 2025–2026 academic year was the outstanding performance of its students in research and academic competitions at both national and international levels.

Timur Abylkhanov, a student of the program, successfully represented the university in prestigious scientific competitions and subject-specific Olympiads.

As a result of the Republican Competition of Students’ Research Works organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded a Third-Degree Diploma for his research dedicated to the contribution of I.A. Among 27 research papers submitted by students from 14 universities across the country, Timur’s work received high praise from the expert evaluation committee.

A particularly notable achievement was his First Place award in the International Local History Research Competition in Physical Education and Sport, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of A.P. Petrov.

The winning research project highlighted the historical role of Igor Shilov in the development of powerlifting and received strong recognition from the academic community.

In addition, Timur Abylkhanov contributed to the university’s success at the 18th Republican Subject Olympiad in the discipline “Theory and Methodology of Physical Education,” where the team of Kostanay Regional University achieved Second Place Overall.

These accomplishments were made possible through the systematic work and high level of professionalism of Didar Zhumekenova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Sport.
