List of Documents to Be Submitted to the Academic Secretary for Admission to the Dissertation Defense*
- Application addressed to the Chairperson of the Dissertation Council requesting admission to the dissertation defense (Regulation P 011–2022 Dissertation Council, Appendix B);
- Personal Record Sheet certified by the applicant’s place of employment or study;
- Information about the Doctoral Candidate (Regulation P 011–2022 Dissertation Council, Appendix E);
- Reviews from the domestic and foreign academic supervisors, signed and certified by their respective institutions, submitted in both printed and electronic (PDF) formats;
- Positive conclusion of the extended departmental meeting recommending the dissertation for defense;
- Dissertation manuscript in unbound form and on an electronic storage medium;
- List of scientific publications and copies of publications, certified by the Academic Secretary of the University, submitted in both printed and electronic formats;
- Official transcript confirming completion of the doctoral educational program;
- Conclusion of the Ethics Committee on the ethical assessment of the dissertation research;
- Dissertation abstract in Kazakh, Russian, and English, submitted in both printed and electronic formats, with a minimum length of five (5) pages in each language and a total length not exceeding fifteen (15) pages or one (1) printed sheet (Regulation P 011–2022 Dissertation Council, Appendix G);
- Copy of the order authorizing admission to the dissertation defense.
* The Academic Secretary reserves the right to request additional documents if deemed necessary to ensure the completeness of information regarding the doctoral candidate.
Graduates of doctoral programs from other universities must additionally submit, together with the required set of documents, an official letter of recommendation from the head of their university addressed to the Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University.
