Sakyp Zhikanovna began her professional career at the university as a lecturer. She later became Head of the Department of German Language and subsequently worked as a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages.
Her entire professional life was devoted to education, teaching, and mentoring young people. In addition to teaching German, she developed methodological materials and educational resources for students and teachers, passing on her knowledge and experience to future generations of educators.
The initiative to establish the memorial classroom at KRU came from Sakyp Zhikanovna’s family—her husband, Talgat Mamanov, and their children.
For the family, the classroom is more than a place of remembrance. It is an opportunity to preserve the memory and legacy of a loved one while also contributing to the continued development of the university that played such an important role in her life.
At the opening ceremony, colleagues shared warm memories of Sakyp Zhikanovna, remembering her as a dedicated educator and a true mentor whose professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression on generations of students and colleagues.
